Pat Vermaas, APRN
Pat joins Archer Place Medical Clinic as the primary provider, an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), to the residents at Pemberly Place. With over 25 year’s experience, she brings a wealth of knowledge to our community understanding acute rehab, assisted living, long term and memory care with emphasis on the geriatric population. She has experience in caring for/treating the cardiovascular patient with emphasis on chronic disease management as the previous program director for a heart
failure clinic here in Lincoln. Her passion for cardiac care lead her to successfully develop a patient-centered chronic disease program with coordination of several cutting-edge clinical trials which positively contributed to the welfare of heart failure patients.
In addition to her clinical practice, Pat is currently an adjunct faculty member at Bryan College of Health Sciences where she teaches a course in advanced physical assessment. Pat is also part of a research grant at the College of Nursing, at University of Nebraska Medical Center, conducting virtual visits with heart failure patients recently discharged from the hospital.
Pat is a native of Lincoln, Nebraska where she initially graduated from Lincoln General School of Nursing and furthered her education at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Nursing for a Bachelors and Masters in Nursing Science and a post masters for Nurse practitioner. Pat has a passion for caring for the elderly population with goals of improving and maintaining and supporting individuals quality of life. She looks forward to meeting you.
